Everything is fresh and homemade. My favorite is the Bougiourdi. It's a northern Greece traditional dish, feta, baked in extra virgin olive oil with tomatoes, sweet and hot banana peppers, basil, garlic and oregano. Delicious!!

Always wondeful, every meal, everytime my wife and I eat here. Great tasting food that's healthy too. What could be better?

By The Sopranos standards, much of Florida is Elvis Country ('where there are no Jews or Italians') because they eventually go unashamedly native, becoming halfwit stoners who abandon intellect, curiosity, a work ethic, and above all else - commitment to decent food (spend a weekend in Gainesville if you don't believe us - the only college town we've ever seen without a bookstore). Thank goodness, then, for the Greeks! On a detour through Tarpon Springs we happened across Toula's Trailside Café by happenstance. It's on a side street in the Historic District, a few blocks removed from Dodecanese Boulevard, where curiosity shops cater to tourists and restaurants still attract old timers who pass the time drinking coffee. Having routinely visited Florida for over two decades, this is unquestionably the best breakfast we've ever had south of 30N. Strongly recommend the delightfully seasoned Bougiourdi, an egg dish with peppers, feta and tomatoes. Order it with potatoes, as they're also the best home fries we've had in FL. The fruit salad was made with similar care, immediately cut to order in the kitchen rather than made the day before and left overnight in the fridge. We also recommend the rye toast, made by a nearby bakery, by people who've mastered the art of baking with hard, calcium-rich water. The staff are accustomed to tourists and weren't burdened to walk us through the menu, so top marks to them too.

We were visiting family and had Sunday brunch here. After reading great reviews, I can only say i was disappointed. The place is really cute in a nice area of Tarpon Spring. We were excited about the menu. I got the crab cake bennie, another person got choc chip pancakes with a side of bacon and the other person got the Greek scramble. The crab cakes were definitely not crab cake. It was like thanksgiving stuffing, so bready and thick. I couldn't taste any crab. And they had reddish speckles like imitation crab meat? The hollandaise sauce was good. The side of grits was good too. The pancakes were disappointing too. They were chewy and had a weird consistency. There were a bunch of choc chips though. I didn't taste the egg scramble so can't comment on that. I had issues with the service too. They were really busy. They couldn't clear the table fast enough to seat the incoming people. There was a lady taking names and kinda ordering other servers around. They really needed a hostess. Servers were also cashing out checks so table service was slow. Once we were seated and got drinks, it took a while to order food and get refills. We were short a set of silverware which they forgot to bring it till later. The server seemed to be slamming down the food plates, and dropped a piece of bacon. Overall disappointed.

A casual diner feel with some meals that pack a punch! It took me 10 minutes of back and forth looking over the menu to decide on one thing. EVERYTHING sounds and looked delicious. I got the steak sandwich that was on amazing crusty bread. Check em out.

I finally decided to give this place a try. It's not the best looking place inside, for those who are uptight about that kind of thing, but the locals seem to love it. Also, this place is not a cafe, I would consider a place that also has specialty coffees like cappuccinos or Lattes, teas, Etc. a cafe. I would say this is more like a small Diner, but with a much better variety of healthier tasty options than a typical diner. It sits about 50 people and all the seats were taken at around 12:30 when I was there. I ordered the blueberry cream cheese stuffed French toast which was pretty damn good, I must say. I also got the bougiourdi scramble with potatoes. Although, it was not the prettiest presentation it packed flavor. The side of potatoes were seasoned well and also packed a flavor punch. Very very good breakfast, I could see why the place was packed. Great teamwork amongst the staff. Could this be one of the best breakfasts I've had here in Tarpon Springs? Yes, It's in the top 3

Great breakfast. Good ambience, friendly staff, we took our dog and they even brought water for her. Excellent indoors or outdoors place for breakfast or brunch

This place specializes in breakfast and brunch...and it shows. Some meal varieties have a Greek influence but if you want good 'ol stuffed French toast they do it right with Nutella and/or fresh fruit. Your coffee cup never empties. Sit outside to enjoy the gorgeous Tarpon Springs weather or enjoy the cozy down home feel of the interior. I could eat here everyday.

After my painting class, I found myself on the verge of starvation (well, kinda). As I walked past this cafe, I decided to give it a try since it looked pretty intriguing. I ordered a cajun crab cake wrap and my boyfriend ordered the hot press cuban with a side of potatoes and pasta salad. The pasta salad was odd and a bit off but everything else was DELICIOUS! My cuban wrap was seasoned nicely and tasted very fresh. I was pretty full and wanted to save some of it but I couldn't stop myself from eating it because it was so tasty. I tasted my boyfriends hot press cuban and that, too, was delicious. Very nice cafe and the servers were pretty decent.

Eaten here several times, great place for breakfast, great ambiance watching the bicycles go by on the trail out front. French toast is very good as are the omelets. Cheerful and pleasant service rounds out the whole package. Highly recommended.

Great breakfast or lunch place, they have outdoor seating so you can bring the pooch if you would like, it's on the bike trail so you can ride your bike there, food is very good and staff is very friendly.

This place has a nice cafe atmosphere and cafe style menu. Breakfast was good , nothing special. The waitress was not that nice but wasnt rude...just bored i guess. It is alot of elderly that come here to eat ...but then again this is Tarpon Springs lol. Its ok but i rather to go to waffle house than here and its cheaper

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The crab cake eggs Benedict was so good. The bacon blueberry pancakes amazing, you can tell they do everything fresh, bacon was crunchy inside the pancakes, fruit was freshly cut on the spot. WOW!!!! Nice little place in a nice part of town with nice people and AMAZING FOOD. you have to try it!!!!

Breakfast not impressed. Sausage links are not links, they are like frozen cheap filler meat without casing. Potatoes home fries have e weird taste. Potato pancakes misleading, service average. Maybe try the lunch for better lucko

Not sure why I hadn't tried this place sooner. I've lived in the area for 10 years! Plus, I'm always looking for a place with a unique take on breakfast. The cafe is a cute little, seat yourself place right on the Pinellas Trail. It was a beautiful day out so the cyclists were plentiful. We easily found a table and were greeted immediately. I was happy to see more than just your traditional eggs and meat side choices. Their offerings of blueberry bacon pancakes and banana nut bread French toast were just a few of the mouth-watering options I debated but after a recommendation from the server, I selected the crab cake benedict. I ordered the hollandaise on the side and it came out mostly separated. While the Benedict was tasty, I was a little disappointed to discover the cakes were made with Krabstick. Bummer... My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his Americana scramble and home fries. I will certainly be back to try some of the other choices I missed this visit.

I had the Cajun Eggs Benedict for breakfast this morning and it was the worst breakfast I have ever ordered anywhere. The eggs came out hard -boiled and the English Muffins were so hard they could not be cut. The only good things that were good were the coffee and friendly, but slow, staff. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!

I read the other yelp reviews and thought I'd try it out. I got there traditional eggs Benedict and added grilled tomato. Very very good. They have homemade muffins everyday. Today was banana poppy seed and honey. She asked if I wanted it grilled? So I said, of course! Delish! They also have homemade banana nut bread that I want to try as well as there banana nut bread French toast. Maybe next time! Great local diner.

This place was amazing for breakfast!!! We shared the crab cake eggs Benedict and I loved them! I am very picky with my eggs Benedict and these were delicious. The crab cakes were very fresh and had the perfect texture and did not taste too strong or too fishy. The bacon-blueberry pancakes were delicious!! They were packed with blueberries and the bacon in them was perfectly crispy! Wonderful home-cooking at its best!

Last week, I took my son, who lives in Tarpon, to Toula's. I had been here before and it was convenient so we gave it a go. As I am eating a lot healthier now, I also gave it the test! I asked for an egg white veggie omelet with no problem, got some fruit as a side, and was told of sugar free syrup for my pancake side. I also tasted my son's omelet. Everything was served fresh and hot! It was nice to see Toula again and find that I could eat a healthy tasty breakfast here! The atmosphere is clean, bright and "airy." The bicyclists from Pinellas Trail still visit as it is on the trail. I highly recommend you stop by and see for yourself!

This restaurant ranks on my never-again list. Service from Maria was rude and food was miserable. Omelette was tasteless and filled with large chunks of poorly prepared vegetables. Potatoes lavishly doused with powdered Cajun seasoning. Pancakes tasted like cake mix. Would recommend rapid flight in the opposite direction.

I tried Toula's for the first time today....amazing! The Americana scrambler was delicious. The green peppers gave it a nice kick. The atmosphere, the staff, the food...all wonderful! I will definitely be back for lunch sometime soon.

Great food and great prices. The grilled cheese is very good and their Cuban sandwich was great. The resturant is right off the Pinellas Trail and it very welcoming inside. Great for family and friends. Breakfast is served all day too which is cool. Prices are very very fair, $35 for four people. Great find!

Love stopping by this place on a Sunday morning to refuel for the remaining bike ride. Yummy breakfast, this morning...having what has become "my usual" the Mediterranean scramble with home fries and an english muffin... quite good. This time... I think that perhaps the lid slipped off the greek basil jar....my home fries were (shall we say) very well seasoned....nothing that a little extra hot sauce couldn't help. Will remember next time to ask specifically for the Louisiana vs Tabasco. BTW - always plenty of cyclists to keep you company. Check it out!

Thirty-Seven miles. Thirty-seven goddamned miles up the Pinellas Trail from St. Pete to Tarpon Springs. On a fixed gear bike! Sure it's my own fault, but I wanted to do it and so I did it. The trail itself dumps out in the middle of nowhere a couple miles north of downtown Tarpon Springs- two red street signs and an unmarked county road. I was hungry as hell, so I wheeled around and headed back to town. Toula's opens onto the bike trail, and had a bike rack outside it, and my legs were jelly and had 37 more miles of pedaling before they'd be home, so I figured it was worth a shot. I was expecting mediocre food self-content in its geographic monopoly on all the sucker bikers who'd come this far. I ordered a (famous) chopped Greek salad and an iced tea. What a salad! Olives, pepperoncini, chick peas, fresh lettuce, feta cheese, tomatoes, cukes, all chopped fine and layered over fresh, cool potato salad. I'd never seen this approach to my greens - it was so small I could scoop it with my fork. And I did; again and again until it was vanished. There were pita points, toasted with herbs and olive oil, but I pretty much inhaled those. Was I on the verge of malnutritive collapse? yeah, probably. Also, I was going on about three hours of sleep, but I'll be damned if that wasn't the best Greek salad I've ever had. Good tea, too.

Toula's is a great little cafe with a friendly atmosphere. Good food and good service at a very reasonable price. A great place to get breakfast or lunch if you are tired of the commercial scene of chain restaurants.
